Really. I guess that's something i can ask my wife for.
You can get a bottle of water for about AED1. That's probably the cheapest thing I've seen there.

I have found it quite expensive there, wanted to buy a Nikon D7000 there in December, but it was cheaper in SA.

Only thing cheap at Dubai airport is cigarettes .....electronics are definitely nor cheap there

Friend of mine worked for Emirates, she regularly brought back electronics when she went there on business.

Electronics outside the airport - in malls etc - can be cheaper. My experience is that Dubai Duty Free is not really any cheaper than most normal shops in South Africa unless you get something on a special or deal.

I used to spend my remaining UAD's on curios for friends and family at the duty-free. Most stuff's more expensive there (except for chocolates!)
