Hi

Is there such a thing? I got a 6230i and would love it if I could charge my phone from a USB port. If iPods can charge this way then why not phones?

phones can, especially nokias.

your usb is 5v at 500ma, this is enough to charge a nokia phone (the batteries int he phoen are typically 3.2volt)

all you need is a cable, connecting the usb + and - to the correct pins on the phone. When bored, snip the wires off a charger, snip the wires off a usb extension cable and solder away.

.. could charge my phone from a USB port. Do the rounds of the usual suspects (Lightedge, Pinnacle, Rectron, etc) .. they used to carry these things, I remember having one once upon a twice.

If you can connect your phone via usb with some software,it generally acts as a charger when software is installed.
