Pitty anyone in the world who still has to use a dialup modem
The different soundscapes that were 28.8, 33.6 and, ooh-la-la when 56k came in and we had the competing Rockwell chipset v.90 and whatever rubbish US Robotics were pushing (/troll):rolleyes: and how, by sound alone you could tell them apart?
And AT commands! (I worked an ISP support line back then, cooking up a modem string was a dark art)

I always new when my bro was going to look at pron. As soon as the household was asleep, you would hear the dial up sound coming from the study. Haha.
