Borrowed it for a weekend, sat on the toilet and played, it dropped in as I got up, I'd left it on my lap.

Doesnt matter think you did it first, but mine was mostly about TV games in general changing to portable games early on with Donkey Kong
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/423542-Nintendo-TV-Game-Console so dont think they clash since you actually doing a different one.
Did you also have all 3 portable Donkey kong consoles?

Oh ok still cant remember where mine are, but they were made quite strong opposed to things these days. I remember dropping it a few times lol
Think the dual screen idea in those days is what made the DS lite what it is today same with the single screen ones (gameboys). Just wonder why gameboy was B&W yet these had colour in 1983 very puzzling :D and same nintendo.

I had Donkey Kong and two others, but I loved Donkey Kong more.
I got a friend who still has his dual screen donkey-kong, still works.

The two reason for GameBoy being mono was cost & battery life. It was the long battery life that made it success it was.

I had one called Monster Burger, was a clunkier version of the Donkey Kong/Popeye types. Hours and hours lost on those things :)

Well I kind of cheated. I use to have about odd 3K
Then I found a 12 DVD set for sale in Asia with a crapload of ROM's including the large movie files that some of em needs. Worked out a little over R110 for the lot. Money well worth spending that time. Used romcenter to keep ip current and up to date.
