Before MP3 days were CD days, before CD days were tape days.

Those things that would get damaged in the radio and you would carefully pull them out; and if it brakes you would sellotape it together.
It was still bliss to me that I could crry them around in my walkman (before Sony Erricson) and feel so cool.

I was happy when my parents got a radio that could record off radio onto cassette, and how i used to make mixtpapes when we got our double deck cassette radio...

oh... the days.

I still remember 5FM Alex Jay.
Kevin Savage had a club tracks show in the afternoon.
Taped them to death. After that bought the 12" vinyls for DJ'ing.

Club Tracks was the best. I hunted for years to buy the tracks they used to play. The first time I ever heard Technotronic, Doug Lazy, Tyree Cooper, Rebel MC... was on that show. The list is endless. Free Your Body - Seduction, I lost my mind when I heard it on Club Tracks.

I also remember the horror of having a tape snap and the relief you felt after using cutex to fix it.

Good times.

Remember when that new technologies like auto reverse and AMS (auto music search which could skip tracks) came out ?
And you HAD to use Dolby (B or C) to silence the "whoosh" or whistling background sound.
