Glad I could have you all recall such a pleasant memory!

In 1970 debuted at Carosello (sketches advertising) RAI (italian TV) the first spot of La Linea, which will become one of the most beloved and imitated cartoon cult series by all cartoonists in the world.
La Linea is the main character of a cartoon created by Osvaldo Cavandoli in 1969 for a series of commercials cookware company Lagostina. The series, transmitted from RAI, begins in 1970 till 1991. In every sketch (2/5 min.) the character speaks an invented language (grammelot) for 90%, and brief sentences in lombard dialect in remainder 10% (voice Carlo Bonomi), and he creates the story by interacting with its cartoonist. Vaguely jazz soundtrack by Franco Godi e Corrado Tringali.

Something I did not know. Thanks for bringing back this memory.

Nice info there.
And I love that I could shine this light back into your mind.

It just jumped at me while flipping through an VERY old magazine that had the TV Guide in it. Was looking for a good programme to post here in the comp, and I saw the 06:50am cartoon slot.
Sitting there I remembered how much I loved watching those cartoons in the mornings while chomping Jungle Oats. And then my brain just went "OH ****! THAT LITTLE LINEY DUDE!!!"
