Playing marbles at school.

I remember we had a marbles season where everyone would play marbles. The lowest ones were junkies which were clear with a colorful stripe through them. Ironies were old ball bearings. Goons or goonies were the bigger ones. You also got dimpled ones. Cant remember what the huge ones were called.

We would sometimes play over the entire school area so if you wanted you could throw your marble across the field, or sometime justs on a drain grid or in a gutter.
There was also a version of the game where you'd make a tower with 4 marbles.

Generally you had to hit the other guys marble and if it was more valuable you would have to hit it more times. I quite liked marbles probably because I was fairly good at it. Think my mom bought a bag of some just above junkies and I ended up with like an ice cream tub of them.

Milkies an Pearlies. We also had a game where people can challenge whatever you are willing to place five yards away. They shoot once, if they miss their marble is yours. They hit, they take yours. "Try your luck 5 yards"
