My dad bought a new one in 1974, we had the car for about 10 years when he gave it to one of his brothers.

He cut out the metal rear parcel shelf so that we could bring our German Shepherd on holiday with us. The dog sat inside the boot with his head looking inside the car. :p

I haven't seen one on the road for probably 20 years. We also have a 1981 Rover SDX 2.6, straight six. They also seem to be quite rare these days.

My bud and I rocked in an Orange one (his granny's car) - jislaaik but we were naughty blighters (14/15) - he'd nick the keys and drive over to my place (only a block away) then we'd go for a joyride...even popped a few wheelies...Good Times :D
