Well, do you? We can't live without cellphones in the world we live in, yet we easily made do without them before they were available. I can't imagine those days. I'm not sure I want to, though part of me misses that. Those were the days when you would welcome sudden visitors. Those were called surprises. Everyone would light up and welcome the guests. We would sit together, have a cup of tea or coffee, some biscuits and talk the night away. Things have changed since then. You can't surprise people with a visit anymore. You need to make appointments. Showing up unannounced will invoke http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_mR1-5t5n9y0/TTS051QxoEI/AAAAAAAACAw/sGAOVC2hO4c/s400/cp5063_ffffuuu-large.png

Well, we can say the same for toilet paper, or deodorant, or writing.

But as for cellphones, it was awesome. People from your work/school life wouldn't inappropriately call you at 22:00 on a Sunday night unexpectedly demanding something be ready by 07:00 on Monday, and most importantly, your friend/brother/whoever you hadn't seen in a long time wouldn't come visit, have a cup of tea/coffee/glass of wine/expensive Scotch, and then spend the whole night half-talking to you and half SMS-ing/BBM-ing someone they see every single freaking day for 10 hours a day.

Those were the days.

If you were not at home then tough cookies.Had to move the phone to another room if you wanted some privacy, because phones were mostly at the entrance passage where everybody could hear you conversation.

Nowadays Cell phones are basically an extra limb to most people.

People have become way too impatient because of cell phones. Just the other day, my dad was trying to get hold of me and since I'm pretty good at answering quickly they freaked out cause my battery had died. They thouggt I was dead and were in tears. Lol.
