Hey guys
I need to keep better track of my data balance. I've got a Galaxy S2 on vodacom.
Instead of dialing *111# and going through the whole menu to get to the balance, is there a single code i can dial and assign as a contact onto the homescreen? And isn't there some widget that can keep track of your data usage and somehow subtrack that from a said amount to indicate the risidual balance for you?
Thanks

Ok I've found the dialer code: *111*502# but still a widget would be better?

Hi Carr0t,
I wish Vodacom could show both your airtime and data balance when you dial *111#. MTN does that when checking airtime. I am on Vodacom too and I know it is a bit tedious having to go through all those steps to get your data balance.

That is interesting:). I will check the code out also.

*111*500#
You will find that these balances are not even close to accurate.

On Android there is a kewl little app called MyPhoneBill SA.
Only Vodacom I think.

EDIT: Only Vodacom.

Just get a USSD app then you can create a widget with your own codes.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iba.ussdchecker for example would work
Or you can use Onavo (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.onavo.android.onavoid) and set up alarms and so on, will not be the same as asking your SP for the numbers, but you will be able to monitor from your side.
Or better yet, a combo of both, so you can see when the SP is right.

No, USSDchecker would be perfect but atm it's bugging out by giving a notification that says it needs a component which repeats even if you have it.

Aaah, OK I never bothered with USSD codes. Just use Onavo to keep tabs on how much data I have left and also use it to limit selected apps to WiFi Only, never really needed anything else.
Have you googled for other USSD aps, I am sure there must be some that work?

Onavo all the way. 100% accurate and it notifies you about any problem apps using too much data.
