cancelled my mtn contract, crossing the fence to bask in the greener splender of vodacom's wider 3g coverage... only to find that there's no reception in my street!

what's really bad is that there's decent reception 400m away... the culprit to the demise of my homely broadband dreams is a friggin hill between my house and the tower... so given that removing the hill is a task far too great for a mere mortal as i to undertake.... can anyone at vodacom(3g) grant me a 3g rollout schedule for my area... catamaran crescent, strandfontein, cape town please :D

I think your cheapest option will be an external antenna. ;)

How high is this hill, like internaut said, you can get an external antenna. But it wouldn't really help if the hill is a few hundred feet high, you will have the record for the tallest mast in the country simply to get 3G :p
