Not sure why Windows Phone is not so popular as Android or Ios. My Samsung Omnia 7 never gets laggish, battery lasts a good 2 days (In these days its quite long for a smartphone that's connected to the internet 24/7) never have any issues with apps I load onto it etc... Or is it just that its such a good phone because Samsung made it?

Very nice operating system, alot more fluid than ios and android...i couldnt live with it though because of two important reasons for me personally.
It didnt have opera and no free swype type application for typing which is ESSENTIAL on touch devices IMO.

I had the lumia 800 and besides the smallish screen the above two reasons were the main reasons I sold it.Back to android for me.
I do however agree the experience is rather smooth and the transitions etc make it look very classy compare to ios and android.

On the Tablet Side of things, got a new Point Of View Protab 2 XXL from Esquire @ R2050 inc vat, added a keyboard case @ R285 (Thanks BoB seller) and added a 32GB Micro SD card @ R280. That's R2615 compared to the 16GB Ipad 2 @ R3600 on special at the Istore. Cant upgrade memory, have to pay R500 for the apple pouch thing and when you compare speed between the 2 there's not really much of a difference.

Your comparing distributer price with retail?
And the quality of the product does have a drastic impact on people. The iPad has a premium case feel and quality to it, as the Point of View just looks cheap as chips.
Speed wise I doubt the Proview would get even close to the iPad's GPU (Gaming, main attraction these days)
But that is a good price for a 10" tab.

Yeah I suppose from my side it was stupid to compare the 2, especially if I only use it like once a week. But yeah the difference in price was a win win for me. :)

I'm also very happy with my Samsung Omnia 7.
Windows Phone 7.5 OS is very smooth.
Pretty impressed with the phone and the Microsoft OS.

It's a real pity this OS hasn't taken off that well in South Africa. It's an awesome OS, and I'm not just saying that because I'm employed by Microsoft. I've had an iPhone, I have an iPad, but I still love the Windows Phone OS.

I'm getting a Lumia 900 as soon as it's launched. Whoop!

Sales numbers seemed pretty decent to me?

Descent: the act, process, or fact of moving from a higher to a lower position ;0)

Pity you can't edit the quotes! BTW, the only thing that bothers me about WP 7.5 is WP 8 (http://www.androidauthority.com/windows-phone-8-apollo-sneak-peak-coming-on-june-20-release-date-not-available-yet-93097/). With the release just a couple of months away, and the uncertainty of 7.5 to 8 upgrades, I'm reluctant to be locked in for two years with a 7.5 phone. On the other hand, if I have some hard cash to throw around, I can just buy a WP 8 when they are released

Yeah I guess it kinda will suck sitting on 7.5 when 8 will be more supported. Hope we can upgrade, it'll be lame if we can't.
