View Full Version : Any Roll Over Accounts
I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't seen to find the info. Is there an ISP that let's one carry over unused amounts to he following month. Most months I don't hit my cap. When I occassionally do I'm a bit fed up as on average I'm well below the cap.
e.g. 3 gig for three months = 9 gig If I use only 4 gig for first 2 months would like to have roll over in third month of extra 2 gigs or to put it another way
May = 2 June = 2 but July = 5
Could someone tell me if I imagined the thread or if there is an ISP out there who can provide a solution?

Hi Keng,
Why dont you look for an ISP that offers smaller packages or plus packages?
You might want to check out http://www.wd.co.za/adsl

Thanks Sihen I actually don't want a smaller package I probably will have to pay for a larger cap. My point being that I don't like the current practice of capping me in one month when all the previous months are below what I paid for.

WebAfrica prepaid accounts do exactly what you are asking for.

Hi Keng,
That is what im talking about, for example:
If you are on a 3GB and most of the time using 2.2GB's.
Then go on a 2 GB PLUS 1 GB.
What this will do is let you exceed your cap but only charge you for the MB's that you go over, so with this example you would be charged for 200MB's.
Now you could go on a 2 GB PLUS 10 GB's or 20 etc..

And they are worth all the hype. Set up is really easy. Speeds are good, and the fact that the gigs rollover is a real rarity .

I just topped up our WA account 1GB of prepaid.
We have a 5GB per month account with them but normally go over by a few hundred MB's towards the end of the month, the great thing is the unused portion of the top up prepaid rolls over to the next month.
Of course I would prefer 30GB for R198 per month, how I miss those days. :(
You should also look at Imaginet's Freestyle accounts - See http://www.imaginet.co.za/adsl.asp. You pay for a base amount of usage (which doesn't rollover), and are automatically billed at a very reasonable rate (compared to the price of the next higher base package) for each 100MB extra that you use. This system works for me.

I can only agree with those above that have mentioned WA.
I usually use about 3.5 gigs a month, But I buy my BW in 1 gig increments, since I never know my schedule and could end up buying 3 gigs and not using it (not that it matters with WA's prepaid, but it keeps money in my bank account slightly longer incase I need it) At R125 per gig (Unshaped), I pay about R500.00 the first month, then R375 the next. And I can top up at anytime, I've done it 3:00 am in the morning before realising I was running low and well that was it, I just continued working
With any other ISP's I'd be losing a gig every 2 months, and R125 each time... It works great for me this way
