View Full Version : Forum upgrade?

I've noticed a few extra things today in the forums, possibly brought on by an upgrade. BUT, there seems to be a few bugs, one of the more irritating ones being that when i go to 'Post quick reply', the message is posted and I am taken to 'advanced mode'.
Can this be fixed pls?

Each time I post I'm informed that I have to wait 30 seconds before I post again
The following errors occurred when this message was submitted:
This forum requires that you wait 30 seconds between posts. Please try again in 29 seconds.
Fortunately the post does appear in the thread if I close the window.

@ic - seems you're having problems too?

lol time heals everything, also RPM's repairing
 Inertia, just tried to simulate what you posted, but cannot recreate it, could you possibly take screenshots of how to recreate this, and post links to the screenshots?
@ic - seems you're having problems too?Nope, no problems yet, was just experimenting with the Quick Reply thing [which I normally have rolled up as I don't use it] :).

Quote works but neither the quick reply or the Multi-quote work for me - have you tried testing them as anything other than a mod?But that would mean that I would have to logout of my preshus...:(
Will have a look later when I find the credentials of an alternative personality :).

Not sure but I think them post buttons are only useful in threaded-conversation-mode [they also don't do anything for me]...From what I understand the quick reply should be done by highlighting the desired text to be quoted then hitting the button.
Multi-Quote
The much-requested multi-quote feature allows users to tag multiple posts that they wish to respond to by clicking a small button on each post. Once the user clicks the reply button, each tagged post is quoted. (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186803)The required button seems to be missing.

I have also noticed this when doing a "Post Quick Reply", thought it was just my browser that is somehow causing a double-post, cause this is what the symptoms are like: getting a message displayed you are not allowed to post again till 30 seconds have passed.
"Multi-Quote This Message" does nothing

Also noticed that the VOIP forum is abit suspect when it comes to posting a smiley in the thread title when submitting a new thread

The 'multi-quote' button seems to have dissapeared.. ic, i will post a screenshot of what i mean now..
EDIT: Seems to have fixed itself. What was happening was that when i would type a post and click on quick reply, I would be taken to the destination of the button next to it, 'Go advanced'. I thought i had by mistake clicked it, but when i pressed 'post' in advanced mode, i got the 'wait 30 seconds' error. This brought me to the conclusion that I was being directed to the destiantion of the 'Go advanced' button unintentionally, while the post was infact already posted. All good now it seems :)
Hi folks
Thanks for the feedback. We are looking at the problems and hope to fix them soon. No idea why the upgrade was accompanied by these strange problems…

Hi guys
I have made a few changes and everything seems to be working now. Activated multiquote again as well and it also seems to be fine.
Please let me know if you discover any more problems.

I've noticed this too. Your reply just sits there as if you haven't pressed the button - bound to cause a double post.
Also I've upgraded to Opera 901 and the smiley buttons have stopped functioning. This may be a user error I admit but I changed from a previous version of Opera where it was all fine so I'm having doubts. [Opera has a history of strange behaviour between themselves and VB]
