Sports Minister Makhenkesi Stofile is expected to convene an urgent meeting with the South African Football Association (Safa) this week to demand an explanation with regards the employment of Brazilian Carlos Alberto Parreira as Bafana Bafana coach.
"I'm going to plead with the Safa technical committee to reconsider their decision to employ Parreira at a hefty salary of R1-million a month. This is outrageous," said Stofile.

If you could not win the world cup with the best players in the world ...what chance do you have of winning it with Bafana

I personally dont rate Parreira as a Good Coach - Below are my reasons
1 ] He's coached Kuwait at 1982 World Cup (They finished Bottom of the group)
2 ] He coahed United Arab Emirates at 1990 World Cup (They finished Bottom of the group)
3 ] Coached Brazil 1994 World Cup ( Won it but played boring and non Brazlian style football )
4 ] Coached Saudi Arabia at 1998 World Cup [ Finished Botton of Group ]
5 ] Coached Brazil at 2006 World Cup [ Quartual Final ]
Now can anybody please explain how this person is worth the Money and being labelled "one of the top coaches in the world".People like Guus Hiddink , Luis Scolari are of a much higher quality.

I agree, I would much rather prefer one of them or someone local in the same mold as CLive Barker

IMHFUO Clive Barker was the best coach SA ever had. Certainly did the best under him
Gordon Igesund is the only manager to have won PSL titles with three different clubs, and one of them was Manning Rangers.
Always wanted to see him get a go.
