Just phoned WebAfrica now - seems there is a problem with the Verizon/UUNET backbone.
Some of my client websites hosted with WebAfrica is currently down. This just can't go on like this. Ever heard of redundant links with automatic failover. Surely WebAfrica has to look at aquiring a redundant link from Neotel or other top tier ISP for situations like this.

Can't say I have noticed anything unusually slow today...
edit: ok, I changed my mind, it is a bit sticky\

Yes we are underway with regards to redundancy. Until our own DC is completed (mid 2007) with multiple fibre links we will be somewhat reliant on Verizon.
ADSL is currently running off Verizon and SAIX for authentication.

Back to another lag day on myadsl - lag is making this forum unusuable - you've been sabotaged guys - I would start looking for the bolt.

I have a server with Hetzner and noticed that it wasn't running properly - phoned them and they said they are having Firewall issues in their joburg data center.
