GW cap usage?

Hi all

Can anyone tell me how much cap GW use (more or less) How does GW cap usage compare with such games as CSS & AA??

GW use very little cap while you play (say 3KB/s), which is why it can easily be played on dailup etc. The bad part is however when there are game updates, then it can drink a lot. I think it was something like 500MB when Factions was released. We can probably expect something similar next week due to the approaching release of Nightfall.

The total updates increased my folder from 1.8gigs to 2.4gigs From prophecy to factions to this nightfall updates...

but nice thing is if you have a friend who's got the latest version you can simply copy it from him/her

as for the size I use to play over 6 hours over saturday and the max usage on my iburst was 6mb...

That is very low fishfly.
I normally do between 1.5mb to 2mb per hour (which is still incredibly low)

why do i do 10+ megs an hour? are u running nightfall?

I think it depends on how up to date your gw.dat file is (mine is 3.5GB) , I stand corrected though.

While you play, updates are running in the background so you are probably doing 10mb+ now.

I did notice - when Nightfall was released my cap usage increased, now that i've been playing everyday it seems to have become more stable.

I'm currently doing about 30mb or so in 5hours of online play.

ye, playing nightfall, prophecies and factions ...
you are either doing updates for the game or your pc is doing ****...
got av installed ... maybe your pc is inefcted and spamming out :D
