Hello,
Has anyone ever purchased anything from http://www.sacamera.co.za, they have probably the best prices I can find anywhere in the country.
THANKS!

I bought a lens from them just the other day, with no problems at all. It was here within 3 days.

I know this thread is old, but I can add my comments on sacamera.
Phoned them on Friday re two batteries for my Canon camera. The salesguy had to confirm stock with supplier, and said he'll phone me back in 10 minutes.
Before the 10 minutes were up, I got the call, they have stock. If I order that day, I will have it Yesterday or today.
I ordered, paid, and got the shipping confirmation yesterday ... shipped at 15:39 ... this morning at 9:45 it was delivered to my door.
I am very impressed with them!
Thanks SACamera, great service!

I also had decent service from them when I purchased my battery grip a few weeks ago.

Will do, now I just have to get a flash unit for the macro lens. :(:( Only placed the order yesterday so still waiting. With shipping and tax it is still cheaper overseas.

I want to order a couple of their used lenses. Getting one of the fossils to poke their heads in next time they're in the area to see what's available. Should save a bundle that way.

Even if I don't want to buy anything from them it is certainly refreshing to see so many thumbs up for them.

Got my lens, saved about R700 in total. Screw South Africa, I imported my own lens and had it delivered to my door in 5 days and saved nearly a grand.

Was that Canon batteries or the Hahnel replacement batteries? I also need to get batteries but the Hahnel seem to be fine at R500 cheaper than the Canon batteries.

I got the Hahnel HL-511 units ... both currently in my BG-E2 battery grip ... works well. At R628 (to my door) a bargain ... Canon BP-511 retails about ħR700 ... I even saw them at Foto Cats for R1499 ... the salesman couldn't understand why I wet my pants from laughter :D

Working really nice (made good use of it at a picnic on Saturday). However, quickly wanted to snap a couple last night, switch on camera, switch on grip, autofocus, flash pops up, and the whole system just died ... Everything on but LCD display blank ... popped out the batteries, and back in, all back to normal ... I have no idea what happened there, but I'll keep an eye on it (might not be the grip, but this has never happened before)
