hello - first posting here - I'd like to get broadband in nature's valley - a coastal village 30 minutes from Plettenberg Bay. Doesn't seem like there's 3G reception there, no GPRS, Telkom won't install ADSL unless 10 houses ask for it etc. What are the best options, what would they cost and who can I contact to install?

Thanks

move? ;) kidding :D

What about IBurst, Sentech, etc. None of the cell providers work? MTN, Vodacom, CellC....
Normal dial-up / ISDN?

Sounds like you pretty much in the deadzone, so it will be difficult. Not a lot of other options left.

There are ways of finding out if Vodacom plans to put a 3G|HSDPA base-station up in your area, the easiest would be to send brad @ Vodacom KZN a private message, or post a new thread in the MyADSL Vodacom forum...
