This is my 500th post on the MyADSL forum! :D I joined a little over a month ago. If I understand correctly, I will now be promoted to "Master" status?
Anyway, everyone who gets a promotion to a new forum status, post your achievement here so we can congratulate you :D
EDIT: Achieving Master status in a month is a bit easy, don't you think? Shouldn't the requirements be changed? Like 1 000 posts for Master, 5 000 for Grandmaster, 10 000 for Super Grandmaster etc?

it is all relative to how much time u have on hand-i would love to be in this forum for 4 hours a day and post away-but i cant afford it.
Another nice way to harvest posts is to post in my pet thread, which is nearing its 1 000 post anniversary. :D

No wonder you got to 500 so quickly, it's cause of all this bull**** topics and posts you start.

Is it like a status symbol for you as i dont even watch my post count,Its not important to me.I just post and thats it.Post dont mean anything exept that if its high it means the person has access to myadsl 24.7 and has a pc job at his work,thereby having internet and can useit during work hours

It just seems the bull**** ones are more popular. For example: I post a topic on Matched Memory Pairs (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=62332) and get 1 reply. I post a topic on bandwidth requirements for Skype (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=62195) and get 3 replies. I even post a sticky with special GPRS/EDGE settings for Virgin Mobile (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=61765) on which I spent hours of effort and don't get a single reply. But then I post a thread about absolutely nothing (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=59045) and I get over a thousand replies. Go figure…

I agree with you man. Doesn't make you any cooler or anything but it does help show who has been here for a long time and who knows whats what.

I had a heart rate increase there from 997 to 999 and then it just happened. I planned and planted the 1K, now all is back to normal.
According to my calculations I will not hit the 5K this year, so I am feeling calm now.

I was under the impression TIAL only ninja'd forum n00bs? Then again, with 8k+ posts, 500 must look kind of n00bish :)
