Hey Guys
I recently arrived back in sa from spain. Things here are scary man. ADSL prices, caps, car guards and BS politics. However I did find a good forum though.
Well done guys!

Hey PiesangTree
Landed a contract to manage online marketing for a UK based company that had offices in Mallorca. Made my money and back here to spend some of it, also try and apply my experience to companies here before I head back.

Hey guys and thanks for the warm welcome.
Well, it's slightly cheaper there but what I had was a 20meg line.
Line rental = 14€
Internet = 30€
No Cap!
The monday before I left to come back I downloaded 56gig of a few movies and a few sites of mine. That was in the morning while everyone was at work...
Looking forward to heading back once summer comes to an end here as my work relies on bandwidth.

Hi 'Just Ad Words',
If your work solely relies on internet bandwidth, this is gonna be a very expensive holiday.
*Maybe think twice before buying that TAG Hauer watch and keep the money to buy bandwidth with!

Well being a little smart I have managed to cut many corners. One being setting up my own ISP to get cheaper rates! Got the TAg already actually, titanium.

They always need staff if you're looking, that's not because they leave but rather the rate of growth.
Hopefully welcom open an office in SA this year, been some whispers....
How did you find adjusting to life in Spain?

It was tough in the begining because of the language and culture. It took about a year for my mind to adjust and get an ear for the language. I can speak and understand English, Afrikaans, Xhosa and a bit of Hebrew, but Spanish is a totally different sound.
Moral of the story is to get a spanish girlfriend!
The customs are similar to English South Africans, with a few differences but good. I was there for a little more than 2 years and had to come back for family affairs. Now I've decided to spend the next few years in Summer. Half the year here and the other in Mallorca.
If you get the chance to get there and spend some time (not as a tourist though) you wouldn't want to come back! Then again I'm from East London...

Tell me about it. I'm having trouble learning it from my "learn Spanish" CD.:o
If could live in Spain (or any where in Europe really:cool: ) there's no chance in hell I'd want to come back. After all I'm in PMB which even by EL standards is a complete dump.

The problen with the "Learn Spanish" cds is most of them are Argentinian. Still Spanish but a very different dialect. However they speak closer to proper spanish than the people in Spain. The Spanish I speak is more Andalucian than the dialect in Mallorca, which is Catalan. My girlfriend is from Andalucia (south Spain) so naturally that's where I get is from.
Just for interest sake, if you wanna hear the local music. I have the popular station playing in the background here. Check it out on streaming. http://www.los40.com/multimedia/radios.html?medio=dial.

Well guys it seems I may not be back much longer. I'm supposed to be on holiday till April and they called me last night to back there. Why is it that holidays never quite work out the way you want them to?
However anyone interested in the services I have offering, I will still offer them no problems and my to my existing clients - not to worry. I'll be online even more than what I am at the moment. We can continue to use skype / email to keep in contact.
Thanks for understanding
