Jees dudes, any way to ignore this 'Philsophical' ****e ?
Login ... press 'new posts button' and wait for some new juicy posts...
This forum is now a religous weirdo central. The 'Current Affairs' thread was bad enough in the early days. Sorry RPM, great forum, but whats next? The Catholics/Muslim/Protestants going to get their own forum... oh, then the Darwin forum.
As a MYADSL (as the name implies... ADSL and internet related) I dont visit an IT forum to be bambarded with this utter drivel.
The Angel and Balaam's Ass
Who is / was Christ?
A Philosophical Question
***** Death - six hours of eternity on the cross
Historical evidence for the resurrection of Christ
There is enough hatred in the forums from politics and racism... now this is the next step lower..
So long.. and thanks for what was a great forum.

Im glad to see that topics about rats, pigs, dating and shaving keep you so occupied.
The world is made of lots of different people with lots of different views. If you dont want to read the thread, do not click on it. Whats so hard about that?

From the most active poster in the religous debates, I take your opinion seriously. :D I dont click on it, its part of the 'New Posts' list - If you are aware of the feature on the forum. rats, shaving, pigs etc dont relate to heated views and wars have been started over the difference in religious views.

Actually I am not. Nice try kido.
If you cant get over the fact that there are lots of different people with lots of different interests then you need to work on it. Anyways, this is South Africa`s largest community, if you cant handle the diversity well then... that must suck.

It has been moved to a sub topic, have you seen?:) Myadsl consist of numerous stuff. Think the off topic section is 50% of all posts and visits.
The posts in the ISP and ADSL section is a minimum of 3-5 hours old sometime (during the day)
There is JUST so much problems a user can have before discussing other issues and waiting for a reply.:D

I dont deny that there are many different people in the world. I dont go to ITweb and Betanews web sites to be bombarded with 'Who is Jesu s' and things like that. They are relevant and topical. Is that so hard to understand? What place does religion have on a technology community forum? If the forum was 'www.myreligion.com' or something close, I would not visit there - but there are forums I like reading and seeing all the looney weirdo religous headlines (WHICH I CANNOT SWITCH OFF as there is no 'Ignore Thread') really degrades the forum experience. You have a different opinion, great. I perhaps, dont want to be a part of a radical religous weirdo forum masking as a Technology forum.
If you dont like my view and cannot offer any constructive ways in which I can 'remove the topic from my searches' then please dont reply.

I do not follow conventional sports closely. Though I hear loyalties are strong and heated debate erupts often. Can I ask for a ban on the Sports Forum as I do not read the posts?
The two things you complained about being spoken about in this forum actually happen to be two very relevant topics of conversation to people. Politics and religion. When those topics are spoken you get some of the most intelligent people, and some of the most stupid people discussing them, but they're still topics of interest to those people.
I like diversity, not a sanitized version of events meant to appeal to a few. 15 000 people is pretty diverse. If clicking on "New posts" and finding the philosophical debates offending is in your character, there is nothing I can do about it.
While MyAdsl primary mission is "tech" talk as you put it, this forum is more than just its name. It is its people as well.
There was a vote about these debates already. Over 80% of the people asked for it to be moved to a sub-forum. Very few of the people asked it to be banned.

If its isn't a debate about religon, it is a debate of banning or ignoring the religon posts.:D
