I really only watched these topics in this Philosophical debates ,and responded where i feel i had something to say.
Now i am asking something that may of been said or discussed already, sorry if it was brought up before.
I have read and watched many theories on 2 subjects
1-where did the hiv virus come from..most people and scientist believe its from a remote region transported ,by an animal which has the closest genetic structure to the homo sapien.others believe its man made an the usa was involved.what your views on this,....i mean its silly to believe it could come from outer space.
2-I always wondered,is light the fastest thing in the universe,my answer is no it cannot be,there are many theories on this, and i think one was explained with 2 circles.does some one know the 2 circle theory..I read it some where but i will have to find it,So what your views on this speed thing.

Are you perhaps thinking of the idea of spinning a really long rod? There are various reasons why the end will not even reach c.
Only physical objects, things with mass, are limited to the speed of light.
Faster than Light (http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/physics/Relativity/SpeedOfLight/FTL.html)
Lots of good stuff there if you are willing to take the time to get your head around it.

I do not think it's got anything to do with light , the americans, outerspace etc.
What does HIV stand for in the first place, lets start at that point...

Two seperate points dodo, don't confuse them.

Is this thread comparing the spreading of HIV to the speed of light. It's certainly is faster. :D

2 separate points
1-is there faster than speed of light
2-origins of hiv (man made or designed through time

Are you really asking if HIV travels faster than the spead of light x_X????
Maybe your two circle explanation was something like the spaceship within a space ship.
I.e. you have a really really really huge space ship travelling at half the spead of light, and inside it is a smaller space ship travelling briefly at half the speed of light, and inside that space ship is an even smaller space ship travelling also at half the speed of light for a brief moment. Is the smallest space ship travelling faster than the speed of light? Relative to what?
How fast is the milky way travelling relative to a galaxy on the other side of universe? or relative to a photon moving in the opposite direction?
The short answer is no, light is the fastest travelling matter (wave particle duality) that i am aware off.

In the other experiment, a pulse of light that enters a transparent chamber filled with caesium gas reaches speeds 300 times the normal speed of light.
According to the researchers, the main part of the light pulse leaves the far side of the chamber even before it enters at the near side!
...... ...|... ...|... ...... ...... <- light pulses
Um, if the light is being pulsed, is it possible they are measuring the trail from a previous pulse? This seems to be too obvious though.
Maybe the gas is acting like the gas in a laser, emitting light when energy is added to the system. But thats more like pushing a marble into a pipeline (full of marbles), and one on the far side pops out, and then claiming that the marble is traveling at supersonic speeds.
