Nothing wrong with Rugby - could be that you don't know all the rules- heck I don't even know all the really technical stuff, but watching enough of it has made it a passion for me. All the big games, Super 14, WorldCups and the rest from SABC to DSTV has been my pain. SABC being too cheap to buy the rights to quality sport - the w@nkers!

IMO Test Cricket is better than the ODI version - but I guess the game needs to change with the times.

You have to weight these things according to many factors, in no particular order:

- how much of the game you know
- ability to participate
- skill involved
- time it makes men do things with other men in groups
- amount of alcohol involved
- what tv programmes you miss out on
- ability to see what's actually going on

On the sum of things, I rate cricket highest. Personal opinion of course.

Funny thing is that daddy-dearest couldn't give a continental bleep about any sport, and most of my friends and their boyfriends are into soccer, not cricket or rugby. Anyway I am sure that any big televised football match (CL group games, CL Final, FA Cup Final) total viewership dwarfs ANY other sport F1 included.
This is not a matter of debate. Football is the biggest, most important, wealthiest etc. All other sports are sideshows. FIFA has more registered members than F1 has viewers. Football has more participants than any other sport has fans.
It breaks my heart that White South Africans do not play football, this is tragic
