My friend in London tells me that his now going to move up from his current 8Mb line to a 24mb line!

At the moment his 8mb line is costing him a measly 24GBP p/month with a 300GB cap and the 24mb line is like 4GBP more!

Why are we still suffering here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????

NeoTel save us all - please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who's he using?

My Mate in Aus has been rubbing my nose in his 20Gb 16Mbps ADSP2+ line for ages. He pays R400 a month.

I had 8mbps from www.bulldogbroadband.com and www.bethere.co.uk was just starting their 24mbps service in central london.

I left in February '06, BeThere had been around for a couple of months by then.

I regularly see guys commenting on the torrent sites that they "are busy uploading at 80mb/s".

*desperation*

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but I'm off to Germany for awhile.

Getting setup with Deutsche Telekom where they are offering 25mb line with future upgrade to 50mb (sometime in 2007)
Including phone calls and TV (100 channels-not sure of the content though)
R850 - (€89)

(offcourse no usage limit)

or I might just stick to the 'basic' 16mb line for around R500 with no usage limit.

:D :D :D :D :D

it makes you want to spit flames...

had a dutch couple move into an apartment above ours, he came from holland with 2 300gig firewire/usb harddisks filled with downloads... he said he downloaded everything he needed/wanted before leaving holland - cause he had a 24mb line and no usage limit....

aaaaaaaargh... he moved out before i could get my hands on his downloads.
