7 days 19hrs 15 minutes exactly without ADSL connection! Reported the problem 7 days 6hrs ago. Telkom's promise "within 48 hours we will attend to any ADSL problem".

Numerous phone calls on a daily basis - the only answer from the call centre is "Eiiisshhh" or "Have you switched off your modem? Are the lights flashing? How many lights are flashing? Have you reset your modem? Are you sure your modem is plugged in?" ---"Sh*t by now, I'm used to go through these procedures in my sleep! Yes madam - I've switched off the modem, I've plugged out the power supply for at least 3 minutes, but believe me the line is dead! I've switched it on again - went through the whole Telkom procedure another 100 times. The line is dead - no dialling tone! "Eiiishhh, are you sure there's no dialling tone? ............"

No technicians, no feedback, no interest, no ambition! Perhaps they have sent all their technicians into Africa chasing their new (ad)Venture!

We now have to run our business on cellphone and 3G connections. Is this for real? Perhaps I will wake up tomorrow and realise it was just a nightmare.

Thanks for this forum - I just had to vent my frustration...

i also have problems with my adsl

well, thats telkom... service sucks and yes im sure all their technicians is not in sa... they have to conquer the poor nigerians also now.. we were not enough for them... poor africa will be exploitated even further..
