This is what one Christian Brother thinks about those mails that entail you to make a wish before you forward them. He was writing this letter to a circle of Christian friends. I bumped into it and thought I would share it with you. I personally agree with him. What do you think?

"I feel in my heart that it is time to address this phenomenon. As a Christian I honestly do not take kindly in mail that sort of obligates you to forward it, especially email's regarding our Lord Jesus.

"First of all, there is no such thing as a wish; there is only faith that is knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that God will never forsake
you in any thing, and that He will always provide for his children. The whole "make a wish and then send to 7, etc.. people and a miracle will happen tomorrow," etc.., is all nonsense, for the word says: 'Ask anything in my name and it will be given. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all things will be given. I am your God; I will strengthen you and help you.' "If God gave his only son Jesus Christ to die for us, what makes you think he will not add things to you and your life?

"Secondly I think these mails mean to make us not believe in the promises of God, but it makes us believe in superstition, which is not from our Lord. Superstition is nothing but witchcraft, because then you believe in powers of wishes and things, and not in the almighty Power of God. The word of God says: 'My people are going astray, because of a lack of knowledge.' Do not mess with the spiritual realm; if you do not understand it, you bring curses upon yourself. Do you honestly believe that in making wishes and not forwarding stuff someone can die, and phones can ring? "Thirdly, it tries to put you on a guilt trip. Those of us who know Jesus Christ, would also know that he is a gentle person, he would not force anyone to follow him, he simply knocks, and asks, the choice is still yours. Now please don't get me wrong, I don't mind prayer chains and mails that you earnestly feel would bless someone, but these mails that leaves the impression that our God is an old grumpy man upstairs that only looks for our mistakes and how he can punish us is not right. We know what a loving Father God is. "And after all, if you have accurate bible knowledge, and if you are a spiritual person, you would know what mail to bless someone with, forcing Jesus upon people is wrong, for he himself does not do that, so please stop offending his precious name. Rather let people know what a great friend he is and how loving he his. Stop sending lies about Jesus Christ, and his father, stop believing in wishes, and then believe that you did the right thing and that God would take kindly to that.

"Send prayer because you want someone to be blessed through it,don't tell them that if they don't, something bad will happen to them, that they will go to hell, etc. Putting someone on a guilt trip will certainly not lead them any closer to Jesus Christ or God.

"Now I ask you to forward this mail if you agree, so that people will know the truth. God is Love, nothing but the purest form of love. If you don't, then continue to send these e-mails, but keep in mind what you believe in you will receive, so if you believe in falseness and lies, and that is what will be in your life. Even non-Christians believe in something, most call it positive thinking.

Think about it!"

Let alone the 'preachy' nature of these chain mails, I always get annoyed at the sheer amount of bandwidth wasted on them, as they invariable get cc'd to complete address books and contain some warm, fuzzy feeling powerpoint or other attachment with angels and puppies and what not.

Always thought Christians steer away from witchcraft as you posted above, so was quite surprised when dodo posted a while ago he, and 4 buddies, dabble in this and can actually harm people remotely. Think it was inducing cancer or something. Oh, here it is....

Let me put it this way, if I and four other guys really sat down and evisage you having cancer, you will turn up with it in months that is a promise, that is witchcraft, you don't have to believe me I know enough about the spiritual world...

scary....

This post was made by Mr TB to ensure you the supernatural indeed exist.
You are taking it too lightly... although chain letters is nonsense.
In a proper thread by the adversary you will need the blood of christ to protect you... Mr TB gave a simple ex. due to very very ignorant attitudes...

Personally I find these emails annoying and I always reply to people not to send them to me cos I will delete it without reading. They're wasting their time and my time.

Obviously we have different reasons for being against these types of emails, but we can both agree that it's a waste of bandwidth.

your believes in your mind does have an influence on your daily life.

besides i would venture that prayer/asking god would only work if its done sincerely and total belief that it would happen...

true there is a lack of knowledge how many priest/churches and bible does actually really teach you the spiritual realm's inner and outer workings ??

magick is not the be #$! with and besides there isn't such a thing as 'just add water' and we have magicians - its freaking hard work - the weak/dabblers shall be burnt...

...same with all metaphysical arts - there is no quick path, the dabblers as you call it very much the same as hacker script kiddies

anyways file this with the rest of the crazy christian chain letters

seriously have you ever experiance real mage combat ?
real spiritual warefare ?

not the church pansy ones. "we are now going to pray that Satan will stop opening up a porn video store in our neighborhood, this is warfare my people...."

after completing the banishing ritual - LBRP (as per jewish tradition in magick system) you don't call blood of the christ no, you seal the room with holy water and then you empower it with Jesus's name and no not the ENG one the real related one. [obviously i left out a few steps here]

apart from that power behind the symbol/name is to its representative not its raw like human essence.

May I offer a critique?

You may do so.

To clear up :

I posted that because I was getting irritated with those huggy-feely-good emails that just get sent out on a whim, and that is not what I want, not to start another religious discussion, but you guys've done that already :D

Wastes bandwidth IMO.

My point is that I want to discuss my belief with like-minded people, not just sit in office and send greeting cards all day long.

That is witchcraft in one of its many forms

I won't pray for ill-health or bad luck on my enemies, rather I'll pray for him to have good health and good luck.

How would you feel if somebody wishes only ill-will on you for the rest of your live? Exactly. That's dragging everybody down to your level, and not trying to make everybody's lives more positive, which will lift people upwards.

Only greedy people will want good luck for themselves and their enemy can have all the bad luck they need.

I accept full responsibility for my quote and I know it will be practising witchcraft, I don't doubt it... but there are certainly people that doubt the power of satan and I feel sad for them...

QUOTE:

"1SAM15v22 But Samuel replied,

“What is more pleasing to the Lord:
your burnt offerings and sacrifices
or your obedience to his voice?
Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,
and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
1SAM15v23 Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft,
and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols.
So because you have rejected the command of the Lord,
he has rejected you as king"

This is the power of satan, your laaitie 3yrs old are with in the shop. He wants a chocolate, you refuse to buy, he hits the floor and throws a tantrum, you embarassed grabs him buys the chocolate and leave the shop...

Your child just practised witchcraft...laughing?... read the verse...

1SAM15v23 Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft,
and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols.

That is what I am trying to show you... it is easy to practice witchcraft...

ok here it is...

DON'T CHANGE OUR HOLY DAYS!! AANDAG ALLE CHRISTENE!!!!

We will stand up for our Lord and His name!!!

Vir elke 100 name - Stuur die lys aan: < http://www.thepresidency.gov.za/ > www.thepresidency.gov.za

1. L Spies.
2. A de Villiers
3. d masango
4. Anne-Rie Naude
5. Wesley Naude

[and the list goes on....]

when will the people learn to recognize a chain letter and not spam others ?
