Well, I'm currently twenty seven thousandth in the world at GH2, and I challenge any and all SA gamers to beat me at a song. Who dares to face the mighty BlueCollar?
I'll start... who can beat my 301k for Free Bird? HA!

Well, currently I'm 28142nd in the world - give me a few weeks :p
On Free Bird however, my high score is 270K..
[EDIT] - Just noticed my high score on Free Bird is actually 301K, but I wasn't plugged into live when I got it. Will have to replay it so it can update on live...argh.
Meh... somebody's beaten me already. What's yer Gamer Tag?

Heck im pretty useless at guitar hero, most i ever managed was 180 on them bones by alice chains- thats only cause i love the song so much i played it so many times!:p

And I think I just have a "higher" score on Free Bird because I was trying to get the 1000 note streak with it on medium. So I was playing it over and over a few times. So I'm certain you've got me beat on a few songs.
P.S - I didn't get the 1000 note streak....stupid song..
I just got 301k for Free Bird, wewt.
My highest note streak is 599 notes on Freya (normal).
4cer, you can only get GH2 on 360 and PS2.
*sigh* well, I can totally and forevermore give up hope of becoming the best GH2 player in SA. The guy who's top on the xbox live leaderboard, wulfe79, is from PE.
This reminds me of back in the day when my mates and I would LAN at Warcraft a lot. We thought we were pretty damn good at the game... until we started on battlenet. rofl.

Would this game inhibit or improve guitar playing?? I had a brief look at the game guitars and didn't like the idea. Plus the concept of hammer-ons and pull-offs made easy (cant remember how) got my negative attention. Could just be my poor assumptions though.
As I have had little motivation or time to practice guitar for a long long time I was just wondering if this game would get me back in the spirit of things :)
I play guitar too, and I'd say that this game would help a lot with rhythm and timing. Believe me the HOPO's are not easy easy. The only problem with GH2 is that it's more fun than actual guitar!

Hmm, I don't totally agree with you there, GH2 is a blast and way more fun than trying to play RaTM on an acoustic, by yourself in the bedroom :$. But it's not nearly as much fun as jamming with a band with everything plugged in and driven up to 11.
My best so far is 207k on killing in the name of on medium, Freebird, I'ma comin ta get ya!
Agreed, it's not as fun as playing in a full band, but now that me and all my mates have sold out to "the man", we don;t get to play in a full band anymore, so it's just me and my little old accoustic.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I even finally caved in and finally sold my amp a few months ago - to buy my 360 ;) Although I'll never sell my "baby" - custom lefty G&L s500!

Guys, by looking at the video, this game is just all about pressing the A,B,X,Y buttons as insructed by that flowing thing in the middle - is this right?
Cause if that is the case I can see some serious carpal tunnel coming your way :D

But the big question remains. Will my GHII guitar work 100% with GHIII ? What more could they possible add to the guitar, right?

Apparently the GH2 guitars will work 100% with GHIII, the problem is Rock band.
Rock band is being developed by the guys that developed GH/GH2, but they sold the GH IP to Activision, so they've designed all the equipment, I imagine it's going to be a case of licensing.

I am looking on test driving this game. I have a PS3 and what to know if its backwards compatible with this specific PS2 game. The other thing is where is the best place to go and buy or see a demo of the game.

The PS3 GHIII bundle version is currently expected in March 2008.. no you did not read that wrong.
As BC said the 360 version without a guitar will be released on November 27th, guitar to follow in March.... no again that is the date I have been given
