So who has it yet? Thoughts and opinions? ;)
I know some might argue that it's not as good as the previous albums, but I kinda like it - it's good in a different way. Particularly like Shadow Of The Day - think it might become the next big song (similar to how Numb became a hit).
My only gripe was that the album is too short. They should have done more than 12 songs :(

Apart from that I have no idea what you're on about so off I go to google :)
EDIT - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minutes_to_Midnight_(album) ahhh. Wonder how much iTS credit I have left. . . .

It's growing on me. It's definitely different to their previous stuff. I like the mix between hard core rock and ballad styles. Almost every track is different.
Anyone have 'Papa Roach - The Paramour Sessions'? Absolutely amazing album!

I've never been a big LP fan but this albums speaks to what I'm going through at the moment on so many levels that I can't help but love it.

This sums it up for me nicely [in their own words]. I quite like the album, it's one of those you can listen through in it's entirety. This album is definitely "lighter" and less "angry".

But those looking to "Minutes to Midnight" as another collection of rap-metal dominated by the one-two punch of Bennington's screams and Shinoda's rhymes will be in for a surprise. "We didn't want to complete the trilogy," said Delson, cracking a smile. "We felt like we had established a really specific sound in 'Hybrid Theory' and developed it with 'Meteora' and we wanted to, with this record, reinvent the sound of the band. What we really did was start from scratch and that was a big risk."
Linkin Park is hoping that "Minutes to Midnight" will let them step away from the rap-metal sound it brought to the mainstream without leaving behind the millions of fans who made the band a multi-platinum success.
"Minutes to Midnight" is meant to be listened to as a whole, taking inspiration from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" and U2's "The Joshua Tree," Delson said. "We know that people will cut it up and have their own favorites that they'll listen to separately. But we're hoping that they'll listen to it as a whole at least once."

I think its a great album, indeed listening to it as a whole is the best way to do it.

on the hole, i think non-consensual prison love is more fun than this album...
perhaps Westlife has approached some of the LP members to replace their lost crew. or maybe New Kids On The Block has made a comeback
