Have you seen the new engine by ID and John Carmack yet? The graphics are amazing and the size of the stage is huge...

Yes it could be pre-rendered and all that but if it's not this engine is awesome.

I don't think it's prerendered, there's a bit where the camera hops left and right like he user is wiggling the mouse.

It looks cool, I'm very glad Id have steered away from Demons and gore for a change.

Hmm, I imagine there's a lot more to the game than what looks like just racing. Considering that first person camera into the building I'm guessing it's going to be GTA meets Waterworld, meets Dune.

Nice engine...BUT...its confined to a narrow'ish racetrack (Think of those old facade Western towns setup in old movies) Ofcourse it zooms into a room but it's probably just that one room. Still, I'll be interested to see how far the push the envelope in the next demo.

Alright. I've just watched a better res version of the video. It came off very DOOM 3 like to me. It looks like they have built ontop of the D3 engine instead of creating a new one from scratch. The inside part of the demo, the part where the guy is sitting with the funky hat gives it away. Of course the Doom 3 engine couldn't draw outside areas or far distances very well, but this engine has corrected this. Anyone feel the same ?

You just brought a tear to my eye..... DM4 was the reason I am not completely addicted to blowing things up on Live...

I wonder if anyone is going to remake that for Live?
