I've been using my VM SIM since Friday without any hassles, today I can connect, but any web page I try to download gives me an error. I have checked that I have air time available.

IPCONFIG reveals the two DNS servers I have been assigned are:

196.38.218.6
168.210.2.2

TRACERT shows me that I can connect to at least one of them:

C:\>tracert 196.38.218.6

Tracing route to 196.38.218.6 over a maximum of 30 hops

1 857 ms 959 ms 700 ms 10.144.0.1
2 797 ms 1020 ms 701 ms 196.38.218.6

Trace complete.

C:\>tracert 168.210.2.2

Tracing route to 168.210.2.2 over a maximum of 30 hops

1 808 ms 931 ms 700 ms 10.144.0.1

But any DNS lookups fail:

ginggs, this is a ongoing problem and a response from cellc a few weeks ago regarding this.....

I have done some investigation with regards to yesterday's problem and
found that the billing server for Pre Pay subscribers went down which
coincides with the times of your failure.

This is exactly what was happening in the past and data networks are
busy mapping out a solution in order for this not to reoccur.

Unfortunately, these major changes take time. So I will keep you posted
as things unfold.

I had the same problem, kept getting a 619 dial-up networking error.
I gave up and bought a Vodacom 1GB data bundle.
