Hi All ,

Just been reading some interesting threads here so thought i would join in the rough and tumble :)

I am particularly interested in the Privacy , Computer and Telecommunications issues.

If the "LoneGunman" would happen to come by this post I would be happy to chat. ( What happend to "TheRabbi" ? )

As a little starter to the debate ( and please move the thread if you want to ) I notice a LOT of people seem to know little about history

I see them ALL saying I have NOTHING to hide -- why should I be worried !

Sorry all you good innocent but ignorant people -- do a bit of reading as to what the "DOMPAS" was. NOW tell me about not being worried about being "INNOCENT" :confused:

Edit: IIRC The pass laws were repealed in 1986. Moving on...

Don't think there's much chance of that but if I do I'll send you a PM. :D At a guess he/she is equating the modern privacy laws with apartheid-era pass laws and saying people can't assume that because they're innocent they won't be affected? :confused:

A "DOMPAS" ey :) I remember learning about that a little in earlier high school history :p pity I am too young to have ever seen one or notice anyone having to actually carry one around. And I'm 22 so me thinks that means it's old school :) probably a generation or 5 too late I am.

No they rather deleted the post where I explained to this guy the difference to a pass and a "DOMPAS". Obviously that mod has issues with himself. Eish!
