I've just depleted my 500 Mb prepaid databundle. Previously I found that once the prepaid balance is depleted you can not log on to the internet to buy new airtime or databundles. I then had to log on with another device which is on normal contract (no additional data) at R2.00 per MB just to top up my prepaid account.

This time I carefully kept track of my data usage and kept trying to buy a 75MB data bundle through the vodacom4me site. But got declined since according to the on screen message, my data has not been depleted yet so in other words I can not buy a new bundle. Once the website accepted my request I've already used over R70 of data at out of bundle costs. Thus, the website kept on telling me that my data is not up AND dont want to allow me to buy new airtie while the actual balance has dropped by over R 70.

How unethical is that!! Previously I tried to explain this problem and connection problems that I experience close to when my data bundle is depleted, to the help desk without success. These idiots have kept me on the line for 30minutes at my cost at a time and still could not resolve this issue. They've promised to refund me for inconvenience and unneccasay out of bundle charges but never did.

I wish there were other alternatives AND that I could speak to someone at Vodacom that can understand this issue!

You couldve taken your Prepaid SIM, put it in a phone, loaded airtime, and loaded a Data Bundle via *111#.

This is a very SAFE alternative.
