After literally years of waiting, Neotel is finally here, although certainly not yet living up to the hype and certainly not establishing itself as the SNO (Second National Operator) just yet due to its initial offerings being purely wireless.

So, what exactly are they offering right now? Well there is Neotel Prime, which the website tells me gets you all this for R599/month:

It is all just a case of magnitude. So I took the plunge and got myself the 2G version of the ASUS EEE PC for R2700 from IC.

I am typing this review from the laptop as we speak.

First thing that will shock you is the size. It really is tiny! A bit bigger than a DVD or PC game cover, not much thicker and very light at less than 1KG.

The keyboard is, obviously , quite small as well and I am still typing quite a bit slower than I would on a full size keyboard but I am sure this will improve ...

We have all heard the the term 'piracy' being thrown around all over the place and how the RIAA is cracking down on this in America and elsewhere. There are many arguments for both sides of this debate.

We all know that there are myriad problems with this country at the moment. There is a growing sense of disillusionment , especially amongst the white population, but not exclusively. Crime is going up, so is unemployment, inflation, the Rand is falling. AIDS is killing of people left, right and centre. Corruption is rife in almost all spheres it seems, skilled people are leaving, investors are pulling out, there are concerns about 2010. The list goes on.
