A motorcyclist was arrested for speeding on the N1 near Olifantsfontein on Saturday, Gauteng traffic police said.
The 21-year-old man was on his way home to Boksburg when he was caught doing 209km/h in a 120km/h zone around 10am, spokeswoman Busaphi Nxumalo said.
"Most super bikers continuously show that they disregard the rules of the road and think they will get away with it."
The man was taken to the Midrand police station and released on R1000 bail.
He was expected to appear in the Midrand Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Nxumalo said Gauteng traffic police arrested 40 people for reckless and negligent driving since the start of the Easter weekend.
