The difference between Torch mode and a mode conducive to picture quality is very different to your story about CRT and Hz. I enjoyed it nonetheless....

I have experience with the ES7500, only with HD DSTV. The picture quality was not good at all, no matter what settings I used (both decoder and TV)....

Torch mode! You have no room to speak for "amazing colours" if you use dynamic mode on an LCD. Amazing in that they are over saturated, too bright...
