Intel quad core or amd phenom ?

8800gt or that new 9series which is coming out when?

nvidia or ati?

im wanting specifically gaming performance and stability + long lasting quality.

want to play cod4 and crysis e.t.c.

Prob the best under that budget R6624.00, will be able to get better prices but i do not use certain suppliers anymore so not even bothering to look at them

Also depends on what res you are going to game at. But anyway very ocable and should be a great little system.

No idea on case depends on what you like in a case

then they also sell XFX 8800GT 512Mb DDR3 for R1999.

with the extra 1000 i plan to get a better motherboard,slightly better power supply.

i have a mate who bought from them 3 months ago, exactly same system and his runs like an absolute bomb he can play call of duty 4 on full resolution and graphics and its perfect.

i doubt for 1999 is the 512 meg version but the 256 meg version should do just fine

before you buy why not enquire about the q9300 its a 45nm and about 100 bucks more than the q6600, stock has just been released in SA should start flooding online stores

Maybe wait for 9600GT? And you could also get an Intel 8400...

this shops prices are crazy ...was almost out the door to go pick up a 8800gt till i realised they are in pinetown ... their other prices are sick --- R999 for 500gb usb external hard drive!

yip pc zone is the best place to buy from in south africa. i have used them for 7 years. anything breaks they replace it immediately if its under warranty no questions asked and if its over it they repair at a lower cost.

absolutely insane prices. they are getting stock of the 512mb 8800GT they are sold out because so many people go there. i went to the store the other day the queue went around the shopping centre i oath.

someone please give me advice on whether its worth it to wait for 45nm processors and 9 series gforce or should i just go for quad core and an 8800gt

you will be sorry you did not wait

go with the 8800gt unless you have 6k to spend on the 9800gx2

im convinced they must be running like a crack dealership or something to sell stuff at those prices. in my opinion they are the cheapest place in south africa (for a reasonable amount of value ofc)

woooot. my mate just bought a pc from them 3 months ago 7k total for the box only (quad core 8800gt 512mb etc). he can play cod4 on full graphics and resolution at like 100fps its beautiful. he jams crysis aswell really good.
