    I'm a 3G user and I disagree.

I have been running Panda Cloud AV Free for over a year now and it's perfect. If it updates, which is almost never it's a new release of the software. Otherwise it synchronizes to the Cloud and that's it, a few KB for perfect protection.

If I had DSL and didn't have to be data conscious, I might consider something else, for now it's me and Panda.

Hmm, I've never used one before, but what have you found so far by Googling?

    Nothing worth repeating....

I remember using something a while ago but it was more hassle then it was worth. Some of the converted flacs wouldn't work, it was painful. Decided to stick to mp3's but I've just pulled 2gb's of flac files and they're useless to me in this format...

OK, well, I will just list what I came up with in Google... but I haven't tested any of these...

    Try this one first... http://koyotstar.free.fr/indexEn.html
    http://mp3-tools.com/free-flac-to-mp3-converter.html
    http://www.boxoft.com/flac-to-mp3/
    http://www.flactomp3.net/
    http://www.audio-transcoder.com/how-...c-files-to-mp3

BTW, have you tried import the file into Audacity and converting it from there? You should get a better result, but obviously not a batch converter...

    Hi,

Try this site - monitor it daily for updates on latest software - most are FREE.

    http://www.neowin.net/news/tags/software

Even the "NEWS" section is pretty up to date!

Sorry just saw this now. Thanks for that, will give it a bash and revert.

EDIT: koyotstar does the job brilliantly. Seems a fairly light weight app, easily configurable and does the conversion quickly and efficiently, very nice!!!

Thumbs up Movie Explorer: Organize Your Huge Movie Collection with Details from IMDb

    http://www.zeropaid.com/news/99269/m...eropaid.com%29

This Windows program creates a slick, convenient overview of all the movies available on your multiple internal and external hard disk drives in various locations, making it ideal for those with large movie collections looking to create a user-friendly central database.

The age of the terabyte hard disk drive and video compression software have made it easier than ever before to collect and store large amounts of movie titles in ways only dreamed about less than a decade ago. A single terabyte HDD, for example, can store a thousand or more .XVID-encoded movies, and for some this has become a reality; for these people Movie Explorer is just the right Windows program they need to organize their huge half-TB, full-TB, and multiple-TB movie collections.

Movie Explorer catalogs your entire movie library and creates an instant overview of all the movie title you have available on internal and external hard disk drives. Its designed for those with huge movie collections, but dont have the time or the will to manually compose a database of all their movies

Your ping is a result of the physical limitations of your Internet line and the distance from various other points.
There is no way that can be changed by software.
You can try and get your line cleaned up by your service provider and you can upgrade your modem/router.
But that is about all you can do.

Yes, it's a scam... in fact using software that takes you through a proxy is more than likely going to increase your ping time instead of lowering it.

Anyone know of a good free video capture software that uses the PC's webcam. And as an added bonus had time lapse recording? The links in the first posts are dead..
