Question Option GE0201 Express Card in HP Dv6611ei

Hi guys. I need help here. I bought a new laptop and so i needed a new modem as my laptop has the new pci express slot. I bought the Option Vodafone modem as it comes with an adaptor i can use for my 3G router. The card works fine in my router but not in my laptop. Both the leds on the card flash constantly while in the slot. I used another device in the slot and it works. Any one got a clue whats going on?? Im dumbfounded. And its kinda Embarassing cos im a Vodacom dealer and i can get my own laptop working. lol.

Most likely the card is not compatible with the motherboard in the notebook.

I've seen it happen sometimes, and usually a BIOS update to the notebook fixes it, in some cases. That's if the manufacturer are aware of the problem, and they release a fix for it.
