First post from my new favourite OS looking good, now just need to get all my printers and E220 working and see if that is as easy as Mandriva was.

    opensuse.mirror.ac.za

KDE4 takes a while to get used to tho.

I've installed it this morning on a spare PC and it seems to work quite well.

I dunno hey, I installed this distro (aka tried it) on Saturday. Well at first, I didn't like KDE4, it just feels too buggy and unfinished. Given a year or so, I am sure KDE 4 will rock.

KDE 3.5, I didn't like, not sure why, I think it might have something to do with the fact I have been using Gnome for last couple of months so I am used to it. Which is weird considering I used to hate Gnome and loved KDE a while ago.

Gnome, hey I like their implememtion of it, but for me in some areas feels unfinshed and not as refined as other distos.

Over all I think Opensuse probably is a fantastic OS, but it just irritates the hell out of me.

Hence the reason it seems I am a Fedora and Ubuntu man.

I use kubuntu (with KDE 4) on some computers and ubuntu with the default gnome on others. I like both of them. I love the Dolphin file manager!

I would like to know how long it is going to take for it to appear on the DVD in LinuxFormat magazine. Too big to download

    EDIT : from their website
Grab a copy of Linux Format issue 109 (on sale 24 July) to try out OpenSUSE 11.0 and other distros!

If Gnome had Dolphin as its file manager that would be awesome
