Hey guys, started with inferno last night, Its me on my Barb and a friend on her Wizard, what stats should I be stacking? Currently I'm stacking S,V, and All Resist, and some Armor, but I have been looking at dexterity to increase dodge, but the I take a huge knock on damage or life. One last question is it better to rather go for a tanking build or a DPS build, or just have two sets ? For solo play
I have act 1 inferno on farm with my barb , at first i went sword and board tank build but found a strong dps build works better, currently i use WOTB + Call of the ancients + earthquake , frenzy , warcry + 50 resist rune, revenge with healing rune and furious charge with healing rune, the combination of WOTB + COA + earthquake melts down elites like butter. I have about 25k hp , 7k armour , between 500-800 resists all buffed and 10k dps.Originally Posted by Fayera

Depends on what way you want to play. Atm the only real option imo is to start by going the tanking way (unless you have loads of gold as for a dps build you need really decent gear with nice weapons, pref. with LoH on). With a dps setup the brick wall will hit you allot harder at the start of Act 2 & 3 and that's where the costs really come into play
All Resists -> Armor -> Vitality -> Strength
1 All resist = 10 Armor basically
Don't forget about Physical Resist & Fire Resist. Its always good if you have them on the gear as an extra.
Go buy blue items with only 2 stats on like +60 all resist and 70 Vitality or Strenght if you don't have decent ones. Resist is your friend
Dex, for tanking is not that good. 100 for the 10% dodge is fine.
The general rule for tanking is to keep your Strength and Vitality at +- the same amount. Also remember there are loads of items around that have the +life% stat on. Very useful.
I'm at the end of the game and I only do 14k dps in my tank set.

I'm having a hard time with my WD on nightmare for some reason...I need a better build
WD are limited when it comes to builds, grab,shadow then run or invest in a good barb and monk shield
I am on nightmare with my WD and not having any issues. I have Firebomb as primary attack, fire bats as second, I have my gargantuan who takes all the agro, I then use acid cloud, big bad voodoo when times get tight and mass confusion. Works wonders, he is way more potent than my DH.
I used a silmilar build, but once I hit inferno that all went out the window.
firebombs is my favourite, but i used pipe and splinter for more direct dps per mob. this I'll have to re think.
can't afford for mobs to get close to me so fire bats was a no go.
gargantuan got one shot killed, was no help.
with all the spells I needed to survive there was no space for acid cloud and big bad voodoo cool down was to long for me.

After loads of wipes in P2 & P3, including a late P3 wipe last night I eventually got Diablo Inferno down.
As a Tank Barb it takes ages with low dps so there loads of time to make mistakes, like last night in P3.
Ow and I did it without regen or Life on Hit
