    PPS?
Some times the internet is so slow, it would be faster to just fly to Google's headquarters and ask them this $h1t in person.!

PPS policies are normally for professionals and are therefore allowable deductions on the return.

    and I'm more confused?
so lets see if i can give as much detail as posible.
I pay every month about R500, and i got this IRP only for INCOME DISABILITY BENEFIT and that total contribution for the year is only about R500 so from my monthly contribution only about R41 goes to this so do i bother adding this to my return and if yes where and how?

    TIA

    Hi guys

So I signed up for an RA at the beginning of the tax year (march 2011) with Liberty but it was pressure decision, so I used the 30day cancellation thing and cancelled it. They only paid out R2100 of my initial R3000.
They gave me some crap about consultant fees and market fluctuations etc. I didn't care and just wanted the thing cancelled, and so it was.

I now got an extra IRP5/IT3(a)from them on my ITR12. This is in addition to the normal one I received from my employer.
    Income Received: R2109 -- Code: 3920
Gross Retirement Funding Income: R0 -- Code: 3697
    Gross Non-Retirement Funding Income: R2109 -- Code 3698

    On my employers IRP5/IT3(a)
I've got an amount under the Deduction/Contributions for my pension contributions of Rx (Code: 4001)

    Now I want to know:
    1) Must I fill out R3000 on this page under the Deduction/Contributions and under what code (4006?)?
    2) My pension is an Allan Gray RA so why is it 4001?
    3) On the last page there is an Retirement and Income Protection Contributions section, do I combine Rx and R3000 and fill it in the Current Retirement Annuity Fund Contributions code 4006?

    Thanks!

    Hi

This was probably asked before or may just be a stupid question.

I own a flat, am I allowed to deduct anything from my monthly payments, I don't rent it out often, so my income on it is not that much.

    Thanks

    hi,

I noticed that EE & ER UIF (4141) and SDL (4142) are missing from my 2012 ITR12 form (they are on my IRP5).
They where in the 2011 ITR12 form.
    Anyone know why?

    Thanks

All expenses such as interest on a bond, rates, taxes, repairs and maintenance except improvements can be deducted off the income.

SARS has change the format of the 2012 ITR12 form. There should be a figure for the combined total though (4149).

    Hi peepz,

Mayb you can explain something to me :

For the 2011 tax year a received a per km reinbursement for work mileage travelled, somethin like R2.62/km. I mustve travelled 26000km for work. SARS hit me with a hefty tax bill of R14000.

For the 2012 tax year i changed employers and received a travel allowance of R2500pm and was taxed as a complete package with my salary. I travelled 16000km for work and received R8000 rebate for the year.

Now for the 2013 tax year i am once again receiving a per km rate of R2.92/km. What do i have to do differently to ensure that i dont receive a hefty bill from SARS as i did for 2011 tax year???

    Your help is much appreciated!!!!!!

yep they owe you, if its less then 100 bucks i think it rolls over to next year if its more they pay you almost immediatly if your banking details are up to date and they have no queries on your return
