Hi,

Im looking at buying myself an LCD monitor and i want to start off with quite a good one. I need to decide between the following two monitors:

I quite like the monitor on the dynax site, but what confuzzles me is the 10000:1 DFC contrast ratio, compared to the 8000:1 DC contrast ratio.

Is DFC better than DC, and which monitor will better suite my gaming needs and wants (High end quality with fast game play).

IMO, don't waste your money on a 19" wide. For the prices in your links, look at the Samsung 22" , similiar to this one at ComputersOnly . You might even find it a bit cheaper if you search a bit.

....and forget about the advertised contrast ratios....it's a selling gimmick

Yea wow paying 2.2k for a 19" is crazy when a few hundred more can get you a 22" wide.

Got a Samsung 22" 226BW about a month ago. 2ms Response. Worx like a dream, fairly expensive, about R3k but WOW Games, CSS, WoW No problems

Get the Samsung 22" wide 2232GW - Dont go near LG IMO!

You can get the 2232GW for 2.4 K at Zones

22" or go home

I had an LG 20" only briefly, it died had loads of issues, and when I got my Samsung 22" I couldn't believe the difference. Obviously bigger == better, but the price jump from 22" to 24" is still a big one.
