In SA they stole the manhole covers, so they replaced them with huge cement slabs. Now they steal the slabs.

This is a very depressing article for a South African to read. It just shows you how accustomed we have become to crime.

EDIT - come to think of it we put disposable cameras on our wedding tables with a note to please snap away but to leave the camera behind (the MC announced it several times as well) but do you think people listened? Nope.

I was at a wedding where they did that. The older generation didn't take to it much, although there were some nicely posed portraits, but the younger crowed filled up an album on their own.

I love to shoot locals (excuse the pun) when travelling.... armed with a nice zoom lens.
