Default Ivys Back...How much is it to fly to London again?

Well Ivy's back in for another term. Despite everyone in telecoms dissing her. Despite screwing up the 3rd cellular operator and the SNO.
Just goes to show, the ANC couldn't give two hoots about telecoms.

Screw this. I am so pissed about this blasted country's backward nature. I am definitely leaving this hell-hole soon - the fact that a fool like Ivy is put in charge of such a vital economic resource is just the last straw...

Words cannot describe how much I loathe the freaking retards the people of South Africa have elected.

PS: And no I'm not being racist - the fact that a fool like Martinus (with all 2 % of the people's vote) is put in a ministerial post enrages me all the more.

I think you'll find that a universal problem... There are no smart people in the government, otherwise companies would have hired them away. I'm pretty disgusted with Canada's government too. [B)]

It's one thing to accept a Ministerial Position, well thats what politicians do, but to do so at the expense of the City of Cape Town and the people that voted for him. Personally I think that 50 years of Nat power couldnt of ended soon enough.
With all due respect to Ebrahim Rasool as I dont know him, but seems to have some vision. But its the bickering and back biting and the excessive amounts of money that has been wasted in Cape Town over the last decade of the Circus that has been. If Rasool can do it, he will need a medal as what I have seen of the local government is exactly that. A circus. When the Boswell Wilkie Circus closed shop, the politicians of the Western Cape took over.I have seen bad politics from all parties. Neither one is innocent. They all failed the people of Cape Town. Nothing has changed in 10 years. Just the costs of running the circus got more as they added more side shows, changed venues and sliced up the cake onto small pieces and then rejoined them and then decided that pieces were actually better.
If ever their was bad politics in the Cape the last ten years should be written into the History Books as the worst to date.
I know you guys on MyADSL are more IT orientated. If only you knew what has been happening behind the scenes, it would make you all squirm. Dont ever trust a politician.

Here's a simple statement of fact - if you turn away from a problem, it doesn't necessarily go away: in fact, it may be compounded. Far better that you contribute in whatever measure you can, towards resolving the problem for mutual and collective benefit. (At the same time, give vent to emotional stress by doing tai chi or something - personally, I use Rwandan coffee)...

    Hehehe,

Or we come to MyADSL and vent our frustrations on the keyboard.[:D]
Over and above not letting up as you suggest, I’m only around for a few more decades until I expire, if I'm lucky. How patient should I be? Legal Entities like Limited Companies don’t have parts that will wear out like my body. Are we going to see anything anytime soon? Seems the likes of White, Ivy and the rest of these people in Telkom and the State don’t realise that we all have an Expiry Date and I personally would like to use my little time on this planet to experience various pleasures that are so unjustly withheld from us.
Oh and BTW, this is not my attempt at a bit of dry humour although it may sound as such. I’m serious. When are things going to happen? Time waits for no man.

LOL with BTTB - [:D] - ja well, that's a good question. I just hope that it doesn't take as long as the Sphinx took to build (ostensibly something like 50 years), and considerably less than a human pregnancy! Anyway, the saving grace here is that the CEO of Government has just yesterday/today specifically said that his team is concerned with delivery, and that's where the primary focus will lie. We can all but only cross our fingers and hope that Government is a successful business concerned with its client base... Though I heard on the news this evening that two IFP Deputy Ministers have pulled out and were not sworn in, as their Chief decided to be petulant and not cooperate. Politics rears its ugly head again - just proves to me that politicians are at times nothing more than children when it comes to their mindsets...*sigh*

    Hi guys

The mere fact that you are active on MyADSL means that you are doing something to improve the service. We all know that these forums are being monitored on a regular basis by many ICT players and your views do not go unnoticed. The activity on MyADSL also means that we can not simply be ignored as a users group. A complaint always carries more weight when it comes with the backing of 1500 members.

The ANC, just like every single other political party everywhere in the world, do not give a damn about anything except politics. As it turns out, politics in South Africa doesn't involve telecoms, because most of the people can't even spell the word.
