*sigh*, the song is terrible how? It's repetitive and the insinuation is open to interpretation.

I dislike JZ as much as the next guy, but seriously, this song can not be classified as "terrible" - unless you mean how shyte it is...

Well what's everyone going to say if say Tony Blair sings that.
It just seems as though guns and violence in African countries are expectable ... and the worst thing about it is that people are behind it all.

Maybe not terrible in its original place, during the struggle.. Scary that they are singing it now

"It's repetitive and the insinuation is open to interpretation."

It is used inappropriately. You cannot put those situations into an acceptable context.

Well, for one thing, it is pretty darn boring and repetitive. Cannot afford a decent lyricist?

..almost - I think the real issue is that this country has a history of political violence, thinks St. James massacre; Heidelberg tavern amongst other incidents (on both sides).

The violent undertones of this song hark back to a time when violence was used to further political goals and that is hurtful to people who have suffered as result of that violence in the past.

Whatever your interpretation: this song seems to be the antithesis of transformation; the rainbow nation and indeed the very constitution that it is rooted in.

To think that our 'fait accomlpli' next president is not intelligent and sensitive enough to see and avoid this is very disconcerting, its in pretty poor taste really.

Yes, well, we're not dealing with rocket scientists here.

Neither should we be dealing with Baboons or Zombies. Lekota seems to be more interesting, Maybe I will have a party to vote for after all!

What's terrible is the ANC YL wanting to ' go to war ' for absolutely anything.

You want to prosecute Zuma ? We're going to war.
Retain Mbeki as president ? We're going to war.
You want to create a splinter party ? We're going to war.
You're serving meatloaf in the cafeteria ? We're going to war.
*Insert idea here*. We're going to war.
    Nothing to see here

Am I sensing a bit of that good ole-time racism here?????
Just because no one saw it doesn't mean it happened.

Wrong on all counts, a little.

They never ended the "War" or struggle. Its only on hold until Mbeki pegs. They will ruin this country as they want to return to communism. They do not like the idea that the ANC leaders want to retain the status quo of capitalism once they tasted the benefits of defrauded cash in the pocket.

Needs to be simple so JZ can remember the words.
    Think twice, speak once.
ANC - outfailing itself year after year
ESKOM - Eish, Sorry Krag Opge*** - Maintenance
