Some times the internet is so slow, it would be faster to just fly to Google's headquarters and ask them this $h1t in person.!
Your primary partition HAS to be FAT32. Not the secondary. Best solution is to delete all partitions, create a new primary partition (fat32) for the size you want to use. Then create a secondary partition (any type) with the remainder.
I see we had a few threads(now locked) listing good deals from various retailers for Xbox bundles. I am looking to finally get myself one, my kid is now big enough where he can enjoy it with me(that's my story and I am sticking to it). Without naming the retailer, I found a 250GB bundle deal which includes Kinect, an extra controller + Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, F1 2012 and Dance Central for R4000. Does this sound like a good deal, or should I search a bit more.
I really want the kinect as that will get the wife and kid involved a lot more than me buying a Halo bundle or similar.
So for the first time in years I found myself playing games on there Xbox with Kinect at a friends house and am now very keen to get one. Problem is I don't know where to start. There seem to be different models. What is the difference, what size hdd and where is the best place to buy? Who are the dealers for XBox?
I think there is only one current model?
The difference is the hard drives.
You can get one with a 4GB built in drive and then add additional memory (such as a 320gb) or buy a 250GB console (not sure if that's built in memory or also expandable.
I got the 4Gb and a 320GB hard drive in November (hence the lack of knowledge) from Makro on a good bundle deal (with games and extra controllers)
You can pick them up at pretty much any large shop (Game, Incredible etc) or off Bid or Buy. If you're looking for the Kinect as well, that usually comes with the 4GB console, or you can buy it seperate- around R2000.
I paid R4000 for mine, 5 new release games, console, 2 controllers, 320GB HDD and media remote at Makro.
Thanks! A bit of googling turned up comztek as the sole distributor, but I'm too lazy to register a dealer account with them. I will go to game this evening after work to check out what they have, not sure I need a hdd right now, but the Kinect is a must
Is it a mission to get a dealer account?
Yeah usually there a quite a few shops that have good bundle deals.
If you play the games and want to use the HD content, you'll have to get a HDD, and it also saves the disc reader lens apparently (I'm assuming it reads the game off the HDD)
No its not a mission, you fill in a form and email it. You need a business and VAT registration though, business must be related to IT, and a few trade references. To much effort for products I don't really sell.
Need to hear a few opinions guys:
I have a download code for CoD Classic - it isn't on the SA marketplace. I do have a UK and US accounts which I use for specials and what not. I tried entering the code in the US and UK account but it gave an error message stating 'this product is not available in your region'
Naturally I was bummed because the game is worth 1200 ms points and I really wanted it (got the code with a CoD:MW2 copy). Now I spoke to a buddy and he suggested I go onto xbox live with my US account, change my region setting and time zone to US and then enter the code in the redeem code section. Do you guys think this will work? Only reason I have not tried it yet was the game (along with the code) is at my uncle's house and I didn't want to phone him and have him read me the code.
Phoned him and tried it it doesn't work.![]()
