Default Helderkruin Bad Signal

*SIGH*

Is anybody else connecting to Helderkruin on 120 degrees, Node2, 2.518?

I can see the tower, 2.4 km away, but lately I am connecting to Horizon, which is not even line of sight in my wildest dreams, and for some reason, the antenna points away from Horizon, as if I am bouncing a signal off a house or something.

I tend to connect to the other nodes on Helderkruin more often than the node actually pointing towards me. Today it was 2530, but I couldnt connect to see which node no that was.

The first time I mentioned this to the support desk, I was told that I am not in a coverage area BYE.

Now the ticket is just growing old.

HEY!, I got a spot where I can get a SNL of 0 or 1 to Horizon! YEAY!

I have hardly connected to Helderkruin all August. I'm on node 3 though. I'm also using Horizon atm with my pringles can ;) Don't know what's up with Helderkruin. If it's not dead slow, then the signal just completely dissapears.

Slightly OT:
Anyone have any info on when Flora Centre is going live? Originally was supposed to be end June/July, but nada.

If we don't take care of the customers, maybe they'll stop bugging us.

Bad signal??? BAD signal??? It's fscked! Try continious loss of signal, gateway time-outs (all the friggin' time)

Having fun browsing today!

It's unbelievable. It's gone from bad to non-existant. On 2 seperate towers. Argh!

Teehee, Subtle understatement, thats all.. Actually, you said it.

JacoD, are you complaining about Helderkuin nb2 or some other place?

I need to know if someone else has the same problems. Maybe they will read my support mail then...

O.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o!!!!!!! Sentech noticed that something is wrong!!!! I wonder if they opened my mail today... Urm, two months later.... Or did they try to fix something else, and broke that, and are now only going to fix it up to the point where we were yesterday??? Hmmmmm....

Cant wait to see if I can connect to the tower that I can see, instead of connecting via somebody's palacade fence to a tower on the other side of the hill.

BUT! I did get purdy good latency (relatively of course) from Horizon. Is this gonna change?

So many questions. I wanna go home.

there is a excelent chance that the latency will be fixed on the helderkruin tower and as it possibly connects to radiokop directly all the better ...

horison probably connects via the big tower and the latency will therefore be higher ...

all the best keep us up to date

*SIGH* (Need I say more?)

They aparantly fixed the _other_ problem. (The problem that cannot influence me)

Oh well, As long as Who Ever does not decide to replace their palacade with a brick wall built with South African cement (The type that kills the signal), I guess it is allright. (Someday I will feel the need (and be in the mood) to write a mail to Sentech again)

I managed to get a quick weak connection to Helderkruin again today (First time in more than a month), and used the opportunity to do a comparative ping. Horizon is much better with min 78ms, where Helderkuin does min 110ms. Purdy weird.

I also stopped on the other side of the headache-hill on my way home. The tower DOES actually work correctly. Quick strong connection.

Which means that Adrian mustve lied about the fact that they did not change anything on the tower in the last week of July.

Sentech has actually contacted me on this ticket, and someone came out to have a look. Purdy weird too.
