Where in Cape Town would someone find them?

I have a few friends who are looking for these - do you remember them?

I'm sure I've seen them at either a Shoprite or Checkers.

Anyone know?
 
WoW! Talk about a blast from the past.
I highly doubt they make them anymore, just see Skittles in shops these days.

I can't remember the 2nd and last line of the song in the original advert. It was in the middle 80s.

LOL at whoever gave this thread 5 stars! :D Clearly they love them sweets!

Some other blasts from the past i miss, maybe they still sell some of them but I never see them: *Take Two chocolate *Red Lips suckers *The big Wicks gum

I was so happy when they brought Ghost Pops back. :D
 
Rolo's also seem to have been kicked to the kerb...

Aww, but it's my last one...:D Am I the only one who thinks that choc's and sweets aren't advertised anymore? Or to the extent that they used to be?

Rolo's are still commom, but I do agree, there seems to be way less advertising on sweets and chocolate.

Remember the ads for chomp, cadbury's, chocolate eclairs, aero, flake, tex, bar one... the list goes on.

Cellphone advertising and "get the latest ringtones" cr@p have flodded the ad breaks slots these days...

The Chomp hippos made me laugh. Those soppy Cadbury 'glass and a half' ads were nostalgic too. Also remember the Aero ad with the flying choc bubbles and singing kids.

Brings back memories...

As far as I know they're off the market, last time I saw them was about a year ago in Pretoria. It was at one of those huge (but dodgy) Chinese sweet shops, so maybe if you have one close by in Cape Town you can ask them. :o
