Because the list is based on income not net profit or how much the owners have to spend.
 
Manchester United though have probably the largest debt in europe, so the fact they 2nd with net proft doesnt mean much.

Yes, but their revenue grew the fastest, and the only reason they weren't top is because of the pounds slide against the euro - thus favoring Real MAdrid for a fourth consecutive year.

It's not net profit its only revenue. The list doesn't consider expenses at all. Which is why its totally flawed.
 
What is the definition of "richest"? Is the club with the most finances available or the club that has accumulated the most profits over the last few years. A definition is needed before making statements.

Its posted on every footballing site in the world. Maybe you should email them and tell them to stop making statements :D
